So, as some of you know, I went a little homicidal momma last week and threw my hands up to the Lord in supplication and prayer. And Jesus heard my prayers. The next day, I got a phone call from my best friend, Carrie's, brother's girlfriend who said she wanted to fly me out to Virginia as a birthday gift to Carrie. SO, I'm getting a free, all expense paid, seven day vacation!
WITHOUT JACK!!!

Amber - I almost cried when I read your post...that is SO AWESOME!!!! I mean, here's what I love - that when we tell the Lord things (for lack of a better theological term) SUCK, He doesn't just listen, but He'll surprise us with some amazing reprieve. [Although I should point out I've had numerous conversations with God about the lack of available men where I live and yet He still hasn't taken my suggestion to re-locate Jude Law to Northwest Arkansas...a pity] Please give Carrie a big hug for me and Carrie's brother's girlfriend (whew!) a big hug - what a wonderful gift!
