I found this clip by accident on Youtube, posted it into my blog, and then googled them. Turns out that this band, The Wrong Trousers, is from San Diego! And yes, Lisa, that is Balboa Park. I'm going to go see The Wrong Trousers play at Le Estat later this month. I'm totally enamored.

WOW. Suddenly my junior high school years seem like a vast waste. Why didn't I ever learn to play the mandolin?
I.F.- I know! I love that they have claimed their nerdome. A friend who watched the clip said to me, "Wow! Totally nerdcore!"
Laura - It's never too late to learn a little mandolin. Or perhaps you should pursue something even more obscure, like the autoharp or dobro.
We saw these guys playing at Balboa Park some time last year before we came to Japan!
Im so happy right now. Please tell me how the concert went and when I can go see them.
